Laurels is made by NGEN ART in Manhattan, New York. This page says what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it. Questions go to pete@ngenart.com, and a person answers.

What we collect

Your email address, when you join the list or place an order.

Order details: your name, shipping address, size, and what goes on the shorts. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.

Activity data, when you connect Strava, Garmin or COROS, or upload a file: the runs in the window you choose, with their dates, distances, times, elevation and GPS tracks, and the name of the watch that recorded them. We ask for activity data only, not sleep, heart-health or other wellness data.

A cookie that keeps you connected to Strava, Garmin or COROS. It holds your access token, encrypted. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

To find your race and the training block before it, work out your record, show it to you, and stitch it onto the shorts you order.

To email you about the list and about your order.

We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We don’t show your activity data to anyone else unless you share it yourself, for example by saving or posting one of your cards.

Where it’s kept, and for how long

Strava: runs pass through our servers to your browser and are cached there, on your device. We don’t keep a copy.

Garmin and COROS send activity files to our servers after you connect. We keep them only until your record is worked out, and delete them within 30 days of arrival, or as soon as you disconnect.

Files you upload are read in your browser and never leave your device.

Your record (the numbers and route that go on your shorts) is kept with your order, so we can stitch it, remake it, and answer questions about it.

Order and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores files. Stripe takes payments. Resend sends our email. Each gets only what its job needs.

Strava, Garmin and COROS share with us only what you allow when you connect. Their own privacy policies cover what they do with your data.

Disconnecting and deleting

You can disconnect at any time, either in Laurels or in the other service’s settings. The support page shows where. When you disconnect, we delete the activity files we hold for you.

To see what we hold, correct it, or delete all of it, write to pete@ngenart.com. This applies wherever you live. We answer within 30 days and keep only what the law requires us to keep.

Children

Laurels isn’t meant for anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects data we already hold, we’ll tell you by email.
